Metallica’s Wayne Hetfield has been aspect of the ESP Instruments close relatives for a while now but I’ve always believed it was a pity he did not perform the old Traveler form I keep in mind him enjoying on the “And Rights..” and Dark record trips so I think this is a very awesome shift by both Wayne and ESP who have designed an entirely new form depending on the old Traveler concept.
The Wayne Hetfield Snakebyte is a product new system design for ESP and LTD this year. It has a set-neck development at 24.75’ range, with a mahogany system and throat, and an dark fingerboard with 22 XJ frets. The Snakebyte comes with a lot of high-end elements, such as Sperzel securing the tuners, Schaller straplocks, a Tonepros securing bridge/tailpiece, and EMG 81 (bridge) / EMG 60 (neck) effective trucks. You can get the Wayne Hetfield Snakebyte both in ESP and LTD variations, and both are available in two finishes: Dark and Snowfall White-colored, presenting a pearloid reptile inlay on the fingerboard.
Hetfield has been a significant endorser of ESP Instruments since the 1980’s, and is best known for enjoying custom-made Explorer-style guitars with an EMG 81/EMG 60 set for trucks. Hetfield’s primary instrument from the beginning was a Traveling V duplicate designed in Asia by Electra, used almost specifically until 1984 when he turned to the Gibson Traveler design.
